Why Grail exists
The Grail Galleri test is a liquid biopsy: it gathers and analyzes blood for biomarkers such as DNA, RNA, and proteins. This supports early detection, minimum residual disease monitoring, and tracking of disease progression. For patients and their doctors, the biomarkers it collects can help guide treatment and show how the disease is behaving.
- 1
Request the test
Galleri is available by prescription only. A healthcare provider can order it, or patients can request it through the Galleri website from an independent telemedicine provider.
- 2
Complete the blood draw
Patients can have blood drawn at their doctor's office, have a trained technician come to them, or visit a partner lab location nearby.
- 3
Receive the result
The test result is available about two weeks after the sample is received at the GRAIL lab. Results are shared with the ordering provider.
